Overview
Ashghal’s key responsibilities include governing the design, construction, and management of major projects including roads, drainage and buildings such as public buildings, schools and hospitals. Adhering to the Qatar National Vision 2030, the authority contributes to the economic and social development of the State of Qatar, with projects serving ports, logistics, and industrial areas, as well as communities in local areas.
Ashghal has employed a powerful model of strategic outsourcing and partnership with local and international leading establishments that will bring capacity and capabilities to ensure Qatar rates are on par with the most developed nations in the world in the field of infrastructure.
Ashghal has its hands in many of Qatar’s future plans, including that of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. With the award of the 2022 FIFA World Cup bid, Qatar’s health, safety, and welfare performance are key areas of focus for the local and international community. The Government of Qatar has put in place improvement measures which will set the benchmark for health, safety, and welfare performance regionally. To support this objective, Ashghal is working to continuously design, build, operate, and manage infrastructure with the health, safety, and welfare of employees, contractors, and customers being the top priority.With high aspirations for the future, Ashghal is committed to undertake a huge infrastructure development that will support the future socioeconomic growth of the country. Ashghal’s contribution to the overall sustainable economic and social development of the State is pivotal to the future enhancement of Qatar.
