Katara Cultural Village
Overview
Katara Cultural Village is the largest, most multidimensional cultural project of Qatar. It endeavors to spread awareness about the importance of every culture and serve as a guardian to Qatar’s heritage and traditions. The location contains theatres, concert halls, exhibition galleries, and cutting-edge facilities that contribute to Qatar’s goal of being a world leader for multicultural activities.
As the top tourist destination in Qatar, Katara offers a wealth of activities for visitors. It is host to some of the finest international restaurants and one of the most beautiful natural beaches of Qatar, Katara Beach.
Beyond its cultural role, Katara is also focused on building a positive culture in their organization through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Katara’s dedication to CSR means that they focus strongly on building relationships with other non-profit organizations. Through these relationships, Katara has helped organize forums, talent development workshops, lectures, gatherings, live performances, art shows, and cultural awareness events.
Katara’s importance as a tourist destination has become something particularly prominent in recent years. Qatar has identified tourism as one of the five priority sectors integral to diversifying their economy and increasing private sector participation. The country is taking steps to ensure that their anticipated growth is achieved by making the tourism sector more attractive to investors.
