Nebraska is a midwestern state that borders Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Lincoln is its capital city and Omaha is its most populous city. The Cornhusker State has a population of 1.94 million people, making it the 37th most populated state and the 16th largest state in the US. Nebraska’s GDP in 2019 was $130,012,000,000.
Nebraska’s top industries are manufacturing agribusiness, bioscience, renewable energy, financial services, IT, health services, business services, tourism, and transportation and logistics. Nebraska is second in the country in terms of total size of assets held by insurance companies, with over 180 firms located in the state. Nebraska is also the second ranked ethanol-producing state in the US. There is huge potential for green energy, with 223 sunny days per year (solar) and being ranked 6th for potential wind energy resources in the US.
In 2019, Nebraska exported $3,215,033 to Qatar with its top exports being: Meat Essential oils, perfumery, cosmetics, etc. Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery, etc. The co-director of the Center for Biosecurity, Bio-preparedness and Emerging Infectious Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center regularly hosts workshops in Qatar. Furthermore, Nebraska has been exporting corn, soybeans and beef to Qatar since the start of the blockade.

Nebraska has a corporate income tax of 5.58% on the initial $50,000; anything in excess of that will be taxed 7.81%. Nebraska has 32 incentive programs, such as the Nebraska Seed Fund, the Beginning Farmer/Rancher Loan Program, and the State Trade Expansion Program.
